History: Been making music since the end of the 90's. The name DJ Tuoppi comes from my elementary school days when I was on 2nd grade. I got Tuoppi(=pint) as a nickname (a variation of my first name). In the beginning I only had Dance Ejay 2 and I used it to make "dance music". At the time I was already interested in using various game and movie samples. In 2002 I found out about Fruityloops and I've been using and updating it ever since. I first got in touch with hardcore when I lived in South-Holland between 1997-1999, but I really got interested in it in early 2003. After a year I changed my name into Zutsuu Masta, because it was time to move forward. Eventually I got tired of the "Masta" part, as it sounded too gangsta xD. Zutsuu means "headache" in Japanese btw. In 2005 I expanded my Kovaydin website into Kovaydin Vastarinta ("Hardcore Resistance") and it became Finland's largest hardcore techno related internet community. As an internet label its purpose is also to encourage people to create original and innovative hardcore. In 2006 I started laptop dj'ing and my first gig was @ PUG IV in Oulu in April. My track "Noiseman" got on the 20th Sharpnel Sound CD and it was my first released track. June of 2007 my more industrial track "Korvaseksi" was released on Six Feet Underground Records' compilation CD. In August 2007 I organized my first own underground hardcore party, Brainbashers, in Tampere city. The rest, including my new releases and gigs abroad, you can read in the other sections of this site. Nowadays I have gotten some influence from the breakcore and free tekno scene attitudes. Besides that I want to do something similar to conscious hiphop with a message, but in my own hardcore techno way of course. Producing so-called "pure hardcore" to get acceptance from some big shots means nothing to me, so I have decided to not go with the trend. Something I like myself... and if someone else likes it too then that's just good! :) Last, but not least, I should also mention that I've collaborated with artists such as Abandoned Soul, ázwb, Skelic and Reiko. I appreciate their works and these are definitely some original and talented producers to look out for!
